  • Emission trends are shown for the CAPs and five HAPs in the NEI that are examples of toxic air pollutants with widespread concern to public health.
  • Emissions from wildfires are included in the trends 2002-2014 and vary considerably from year-to-year and across states.
  • For the National trend, prescribed fires are summed with industrial and other processes under stationary sources, and for state trends prescribed fires are listed separately within stationary sources.
  • The trends procedural documentation website has more information about the estimation procedures for air pollutant emission trends.
